1949. 5. 20. My argument is firm - dismissing the slander about vacation
After returning from a long journey, I was advised that I needed to rest for a while, as I was feeling tired and my health was being affected by the constant greetings and responses to visitors.

The Magoksa Temple in Gongju, where I have a deep connection personally, has been inviting me several times to participate in rituals since the Temple completed the renovation of a pagoda, but I have been unable to accept it due to various busy affairs, so I have decided to take some rest for a while this time, and it means nothing else.

I was not blessed with a vacation for two or three years before my country became independent. Even if I go to Magoksa Temple today, if I have business in Seoul tomorrow, I will return soon. It seems that there are people who are making various speculations since current situation is complicated, but this is nothing but a hypersensitive or prejudicial speculation.

We are in a revolutionary period to be united as a nation to win the independent sovereignty of our country, and we are faced with so many difficulties since revolution is a struggle for a weaker power to defeat a stronger power. However, a revolutionary must know that he or she will continue to struggle until the final goal is achieved in order to realize justice and ironclad beliefs in human society. A revolutionary always lives in an optimistic attitude and environment.

As a result of the inter-Korean conference, the road to national reunification has moved one step forward. My insistence and attitude on preventing the bloodshed of kinsmen and the crisis of the divided Koreas and achieving the complete independence of the homeland under the principle of self-determination have not changed.
