Today, after three years have passed, if we look back what we have done, we can only feel bitterness and disappointment. However, we must put aside our disappointment and lamentation at this time and push forward with new determination and courage for a strong independent reunification movement.
Now there is a border that is not a border in our country. If our compatriots continue to rush down the path of polarization, there is a risk that a bloody civil war will break out between the two Koreas due to international pressure and provocations, and a rearmed army may once again cross the sea to spread its power. I am confident that if our compatriots, whether in the South or in the North, go forth with a national conscience to strive for the unified sovereignty and independence of the Korean nation, and a patriotic zeal to prevent civil war among their fellow countrymen, even if they are focused to take an unexpected path by the pressures of the present situation, light will appear on our people¡¯s future path. |
