| This is only a part of my opinion. In my opinion, if the United States mentions the South Korean government and the Soviet Union does the North Korean government at the next UN General Assembly and each of them demands to recognize respectively mentioned government as the legitimate central government of Korea, the Korean issue will be in trouble again.
If the U.S. and Soviet Union had not adopted policies that exacerbated the Korean problem, but rather removed the barrier of the 38th parallel and recognized the Provisional Government which was organized as the will of the entire nation without ideological divisions, national reunification would have been realized quickly. However, I think this was a missed opportunity. The question of what arguments will be presented to the UN General Assembly in the future cannot be said in advance. My alternative opinion is as set out to the UN commission before. |
