| We will soon have our honored guests from the United Nations. We must welcome them with fidelity and do our utmost to help them fulfill their mission of establishing the self-governing, independent, unified government we desire, with due recognition of us. As they aim to establish a unified government of the two Koreas, we will oppose a separate government. The mission of the United Nations Commissioners will be to observe the general elections in the North and the South, not only to prevent interference by foreign powers, but also to prevent any interference from within. Therefore, ordinary Koreans will be able to vote freely. |
