Paikbum Kim Koo was married at the age of 31 to Choe Jun-nye, who was 18 years old and they had three daughters and two sons.
The daughters died when they were infants but the sons grew up moving back and forth between Korea and China depending on their father’s situation.
Seeing Kim Koo desperately striving in the Korean Provisional Government, his mother and two sons unsurprisingly came to live a a life of an independence activist.

The government of Korea awarded the following medals to Kim Koo’s family for their outstanding meritorious services for national foundation.
